How to cure sticking rebate supports

Remove the rebate supports from their guides. For health and safety remove your morso blades. Clean the rebate support guides with a stiff/wire brush and wipe clean with a soft cloth, do the same to your rebate supports. Spray your rebate support guides with 'Back to Black'. Replace your blades and rebate supports. Hey presto, you should have resolved the issue of sticking rebates supports.

Please note do not use WD40 as this evaporates very quickly and leaves a sticky residue. Back to Black is a silicone based spray which leave no residue.

How to check if your blades are hollowground

To check your own MORSO blades after they have been sharpened to see if they are hollow ground, simply place any straight edge (i.e. a credit card) across the sharpened edge. If you are able to see light under the card this means that the surface is concave indicating that the knife has been hollow-ground. If it is parallel to the card, this is a definite indication that the blades have not been properly sharpened. Also, no grinding should ever be done on the flat surface of the knife (the surface that faces the operator).
